Volume: $\Delta S = nR\ln \frac{V_{2}}{V_{1}}$
Temperature: $\Delta S = nC\ln \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}$

entropy formula for change in volume

Is the formula for deltaS=nRln(V2/V1) for isothermal reversible or irreversible reactions?

You can apply to both as long as the reaction is isothermal

When do I use 5/2*R and 7/2*R? To find deltaS= nRlnV2/V1 but I know there are some situations where we use deltaS=n*(5/2)*R*lnV2/V1 or the same equation but with (7/2)
