Thermal and positional disorder

The textbook refers to thermal disorder as disorder arising from the thermal motion of the molecules and positional disorder as the disorder relating to the locations of the molecules.
Can these be thought of as types, or subcategories, of entropy? If so, are there any other types?

Rather than types, thermal and positional disorder can be thought of components of entropy. These are characteristics that describe entropy. If a system were to increase in entropy, its atoms would collide more vigorously and randomly, resulting in the energy of the system to disperse randomly. The increased thermal motion and random positions of the molecules leads to an increase of entropy or disorder.

Thermal motion and positional disorder are aspects of entropy that can be used to describe the amount of entropy or be used to compare the entropy that an object has.
