Does anyone know what the answer for this question would be in J/degrees C?

I believe because we are dealing with a change in temperature and because a change of 1 degree Celsius is equivalent to a change of 1 Kelvin, the answer for this question would have the same numerical value to give +0.8 J/*C

how does one know to use the molar heat capacity rather than the specific heat capacity of water when calculating delta S??

You usually want entropy to be in J/K so you would use molar heat capacity
