Volume: $\Delta S = nR\ln \frac{V_{2}}{V_{1}}$
Temperature: $\Delta S = nC\ln \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}$

if there is a change in volume and then change in temperature would finding each and then adding both provide the overall entropy value?

Yes, entropy is a state function, so you can separate this problem into two parts then add them together.
