Entropy Change Due to Temperature Change

Postby Tamera Scott 1G » Wed Feb 06, 2019 6:20 pm

When finding entropy changes due to a temperature change, I'm still confused as to when we are supposed to use Cv= 3/2R and Cp= 5/2. Can someone explain?

from what I understood we use Cp when pressure is constant and Cv when the volume is constant to find out how much heat has been gained or lost but I'm not sure if you were looking for something more specific about them

I'm not positive either, but I agree with what she said. Cv is for constant volume and Cp is for constant pressure.

SO does this mean that entropy change is the same thing as change in entropy?
