Why do we use constant volume heat capacity instead of constant pressure? Isn't the volume changing? Thanks

The volume of the whole container does not change.

I'm guessing that because the problem doesn't say that the pressure is independent of the temperature, the change in temperature affects a change in the pressure of the system.

I kinda separated the problem into 2 parts-> when the temperature of the container (and both gases) changes and when the volumes of the separate containers change (so volumes of the gases change), so I use isochoral and isothermal formulas. I asked a friend and he said the same thing about how the overall volume of the box (but not the gases) doesn't change though, but the pressure of the gases do (so you know it's not isobaric)
