Volume: $\Delta S = nR\ln \frac{V_{2}}{V_{1}}$
Temperature: $\Delta S = nC\ln \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}$

### Entropy Changes

How does entropy change with adjusting pressure, volume, temperature, heat, etc?

### Re: Entropy Changes

An increase in pressure causes a decrease in entropy. An increase in volume causes an increase in entropy. An increase in temperature causes an increase in entropy.

### Re: Entropy Changes

Also remember that entropy increases with the complexity of a molecule and also increasing molar mass. It also increases from solid to gas phases.

### Re: Entropy Changes

You can see how entropy increases with an increase in volume in the equation ∆S = nRln(V2/V1)
Similarly, entropy also increases with an increase in temperature in the equation ∆S = nCln(T2/T1)
