Achieve 5/6 Question 17

Postby Hannah Kortum 1F » Wed Feb 14, 2024 8:04 pm

Could someone please explain the equations they used to solve this problem? I have found the standard enthalpy values but am struggling to find the standard entropy and Gibbs Free Energy values.

Use the table provided to find the entropy and Gibbs free energy of formation for each part of the equation, the subtract the reactants from the sum of the products to the find the values for the reaction.

The process is the same for each step, take the values given in the table for standard free energy and standard entropy, and add together the values for the products - the values for the reactants. Make sure to pay attention to the order, the order of the columns in the charts don't match the order of the questions
