How does the basis of the structures of molecules relate to the residual entropy?

Molecules with more planes of symmetry will have less entropy because they have less microstates. Think about if you were to draw the structures out, how many planes of symmetry/positions each one would be able to have. The ones with the most would have the least entropy. Also, entropy is a measure of disorder, so if the structure is perfectly symmetrical, changing its orientation or looking at it from a different plane won't lead to more disorder.
