Reversible or irreversible?

Postby Ekayana Sethi 2K » Sun Mar 11, 2018 7:30 pm

Suppose that 50.0 g of H2O(l) at 20.0 C is mixed with
65.0 g of H2O(l) at 50.0 C at constant atmospheric pressure
in a thermally insulated vessel. Calculate S and Stot for the
process.
since delta T is 0 is it reversible or irreversible?

Isothermal reactions should be reversible.

We know the reaction is isothermal because it takes place in a thermally insulated vessel. At a constant temperature, these reactions are usually reversible
