Memorizing molar entropies

Postby John Calonia 1D » Mon Feb 01, 2021 4:54 pm

Should we memorize any molar entropies so we can calculate standard reaction entropies or will those values be given to us?

I would assume that any molar entropies needed would be given to us on exams.

We don't have to memorize specific molar entropies as they will be given to us for any problem.

They should be given there are so many of them I doubt it. I feel like by now they would have told us which ones to remember if we did so I would not worry much about it.

I assume we do not have to memorize molar entropies because like as mentioned above, they should be given to us.

I don't think we will be expected to memorize molar entropies. Just like bond enthalpies or standard enthalpies of formation, I believe they will all be given on exams like they are in our textbook problems and on sapling problems, so don't worry too much about it. If anything, Dr.Lavelle will definitely let us know if he wants us to memorize anything.

Honestly I don't think we would be expected to memorize them.. they probably will give it to us on the exam.

I don't think Lavelle expects us to memorize them. They're usually given

i agree with everyone above. we will typically be given things like enthalpy values, bond enthalpies, heat of formation, etc for tests/midterms

They will be given to us on exams and should not be memorized.

We don't need to memorize these as they should be given on the test.

I don’t think we have to memorize them and it should be given in the problem.

I agree that the molar entropies we would need would most likely be given to us in the problems.

They will be given to us I believe! Lavelle typically gives us info like that.

We don't need to memorize them!
