clarification for gibbs free energy assumptions

Postby Evelyn-Marian Barber » Mon Jan 30, 2023 10:51 pm

When a reaction is said to be spontaneous (whether delta G is > or < 0) what does that mean? Does that mean the reaction moves in a certain direction, like when Q<K or Q>K?

A reaction is spontaneous when delta G < 0.

I have not yet discussed this in class. I will, in detail.
