If delta g is positive, it it safe to assume that delta S is positive?

No, it is not safe to assume that delta S is positive if delta G is positive. The sign of delta G depends on two factors: the change in enthalpy (delta H) and the change in entropy (delta S) of the system. If delta H is positive and delta S is negative, the overall value of delta G will be positive, indicating a non-spontaneous process. If delta H is negative and delta S is positive, the overall value of delta G will be negative, indicating a spontaneous process.
