How can Gibbs free energy be used to explain dissipative structures and the role of entropy production?

Gibbs free energy can be used to explain dissipative structures and the role of entropy production by the change occurring during the reaction being equal to the change in the enthalpy minus the change in the product. They are both related due to transition state theory which is used for describing the chemical kinetics.
