Van Hoff Equation

Postby Hector Acosta Discussion 1H » Fri Feb 02, 2018 3:13 pm

Will we need to know how to derive other equations to get Van Hoff's equation?

I don't think so, I think Lavelle just wanted to show us how we arrived at that equation, and we'll only have to use it for mathematical questions in the future.

It probably can't hurt, but you shouldn't need to know it.

Lavelle also clarified that the Van Hoff Equation in the chemistry text book is actually two Van Hoff equations subtracted.
