Exothermic/Endothermic

Do exothermic and endothermic reactions relate to catabolism and anabolism ?

For example, in an exothermic reaction the formation of products is favored by lowering the temperature. Can this be thought as an example of catabolism or anabolism?

Catabolic and anabolic reactions can be exothermic or endothermic.

I think of catabolic reactions breaking down things, releasing energy = exothermic and anabolic reactions forming things, requiring energy = endothermic.
These reactions tend to go hand in hand with catabolic reactions supplying the energy for anabolic reactions.

Correct as a general trend, but there are individual steps (reactions) within a catabolic cycle that can be endothermic.

Therefore a general rule cannot be made that all catabolic reactions are exothermic, etc.
