## Midterm

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \Delta H^{\circ} - T \Delta S^{\circ}$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= -RT\ln K$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(products) - \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(reactants)$

### Midterm

for the midterm on Wednesday do we need to know how to derive any formulas because today in lecture Dr. Lavelle said derivations wont be on the test?

### Re: Midterm

He said we won't have to specifically derive any formulas but need to know how the formulas relate to each other and be able to substitute parts of equations when necessary

### Re: Midterm

There is no need to know how to derive anything, but knowing how to derive can be helpful for solving the problems, how the equations relate to one another, and thinking through the problems.
