The last topic is basically all of what we went over today regarding entropy, i.e. system, surrounding and universal entropy. We won't need to do anything relating to gibbs free energy

According to Lavelle's important midterm information document on his website, the midterm will cover "Chemical Equilibrium, Acid and Base Equilibria, Thermochemistry, Thermodynamics to the end of entropy."

The end of entropy, according to Friday's lecture, is finding the total change in entropy of the reaction based on the entropy of the products and reactants.

The topics tested on the midterm should cover everything about entropy up until the introduction of Gibbs free energy. According to the textbook, the last topic for midterm is the entropy of surroundings.
