## Delta G

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \Delta H^{\circ} - T \Delta S^{\circ}$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= -RT\ln K$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(products) - \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(reactants)$

I know for sure that Gibbs free energy itself is a state function. I’m not too sure about the change in G though.

The çhange in G is not dependent on path taken so it would not be a state function.

Gibbs free energy itself is a state function. Because it is a state function, we only ever need to consider the change in G from its initial state to its final state because state functions are independent of the path taken by the system.
