## Units of Delta G

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \Delta H^{\circ} - T \Delta S^{\circ}$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= -RT\ln K$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(products) - \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(reactants)$

### Re: Units of Delta G

Delta G is the measure of the change in free energy in a reaction, so you would use either J or KJ; However, you use KJ/mol or J/mol as the units when in respect to a certain number of moles of the species in the reaction.

### Re: Units of Delta G

The units for delta G happen to be the same for enthalpy which are J, Kj, KJ/mol, J/mol.

### Re: Units of Delta G

The units are either kJ or J due to the fact that delta G is deltaH- T*deltaS

### Re: Units of Delta G

The units will either be in J or kJ depending on what it is asking. Sometimes it will be J/mol or kJ/mol.
