Gibbs Free Energy on midterm

Postby AngieGarcia_4F » Sun Feb 09, 2020 7:58 pm

Since we did not finish all the Gibbs free energy topics is the only equation we need to know for the midterm G=H-TS?

Basically yes; Dr. Lavelle said we need to know everything on the first page of the outline for Thermodynamics.

Yes, that equation and also the fact that G is also a state function. This would mean that the standard free energy formation of a reaction would equal the standard free energy formation of the products minus the standard free energy formation of the reactants. This could come in handy on the midterm.

Yeah, I believe we do. Everything on the first page of the learning outcomes but not the second.

Yes, we only need to know up to the first page of Outline 4!

Basically we need to know all of chapter 4. The concepts he hasn't covered are all part of chapter 5.
