Nonexpansion work

Postby Payton Kammerer 2B » Sun Feb 09, 2020 11:26 pm

"The change in Gibbs free energy for a process is also a measure of the maximum nonexpansion work that the system can do at constant temperature and pressure"

What work can a chemical system do other than expansion? Is this aspect of the definition of Gibbs free energy going to be relevant in this course?

No, this is beyond the scope of this course.
