## Derivations

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \Delta H^{\circ} - T \Delta S^{\circ}$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= -RT\ln K$

$\Delta G^{\circ}= \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(products) - \sum \Delta G_{f}^{\circ}(reactants)$

### Derivations

Do we need to be able to derive all the different gibbs free energy equations or just know them/look at equation sheet?

I think the only one that we need to be able to derive is the Vant Hoff equation! Everything else should be given on the equation sheet (just make sure you can recognize what each one is)!

I think you should be able to understand why the derivations work concept wise, but you probably don't have to memorize them. Most of the equations needed should be given on the equation sheet.

I don't think you need to memorize the derivations as long as you know how to use the equations given on the sheet.

I think that the derivations are pretty much all listed on the equation sheet, so we'd only need to be able to know how to use them.

I think we only need to know how to use them, but the derivations can be helpful in understanding the concepts behind the equations.
