Spontaneity in regards to Ecell and deltaG

Postby Nane Onanyan 1G » Fri Mar 12, 2021 10:31 am

When K is greater than 1, Ecell is positive and deltaG is negative.
When K is less than 1, Ecell is negative and deltaG is positive.

Can someone explain the effect of K on Ecell and deltaG conceptually?

The larger the K value, the larger Ecell will be and the larger the magnitude of the Negative delta G value.
The smaller the K value, the smaller Ecell will be and the larger the magnitude of the Positive delta G value
