what are the applications of the van't hoff equation? what is it used for and how do we know when to use it?

The equation is used to link K the equilibrium constant to enthalpy and temperature. This is very useful since we can use this equation to constant the equilibrium constant for a substance at various temperatures and this will then allow us to have a greater understanding of things such as the free energy available at certain temperatures.
