Hi! Could someone explain how we derive the Van't Hoff equation?

To derive the equation, we use two expressions that are equivalent to the standard Gibbs free energy of a reaction (delta H - T*delta S and -RTlnK). If we set these equal to each other and solve for lnK, we have the Van't Hoff equation that shows us the temperature dependence of the equilibrium constnat.

There are two equations to find delta G, -RTlnK and deltaH-TdeltaS. Set these equal to each other and divide -RT from both sides. You get lnK=(-deltaH/RT)+(deltaS/R).
