Since we haven't used this equation on the quiz or the midterm... will we need to know it for the final?

It is my guess that everything that is covered in class or in the course reader is fair game for the final

We're still a ways away from the final, anything Dr. Lavelle mentions in lecture should be remembered like the derivations and such.

This equation might be needed in order to find a given value that you need for a different equation, so you should probably be acquainted with it.
