### Friday Lecture:

I know we were going to discuss free energy on Friday, but what else did Lavelle go over? I wasn't able to attend lecture and am trying to catch up and watch videos on the subject if anyone can please give me details on what i should review I'd appreciate it.

### Re: Friday Lecture:

Hello,

In Friday's lecture, Dr. Lavelle went over the derivation of the formula delta G (standard) = -RTlnK. He then discussed the values of K that make delta G positive, negative, and equal to zero. He also taught us how to derive the equation lnK = (-deltaH/RT) + (deltaS/R) by manipulating formulas we already know. Hope this helps.

He also introduced equation for the Difference of Van't Hoff Equation which is taken to calculate two different K (equilibrium constant) values assuming that $\Delta S^{\circ}$ and $\Delta H^{\circ}$ are constant.
