Outline Clarification on Van't Hoff EQ

Postby John Liang 2I » Fri Feb 28, 2020 5:27 pm

On the outline, we are expected to be able to "Use a Chemistry Van't Hoff analysis to calculate H, S, and G." Can I get clarification on what this exactly means? Using the EQ to find the other variables?

The Van't Hoff Equation is derived using two equations:
Setting the two equations to each other gives you the Van't Hoff Equation:
In the Van't Hoff Equation, you can use the whatever constants are given to you to solve for the variables H,S, and K. You can also use your Delta H and Delta S values to find Delta G using Delta G = Delta H - T (Delta S).
