Van't Hoff Equation Uses
Since we didn't do that many problems that had to do with the Van't Hoff Equation, I was wondering in what situations would we use it? What do we use it to find?

Re: Van't Hoff Equation Uses
I am pretty sure we would use it in a question where we were basically given all of the other variables excluding either K2 or the enthalpy of the reaction value.

It's useful when you have the equilibrium constant of a reaction at different temperatures, and you want to know if the product or the reactant is favored when you raise/lower the temperature.

We will use it to find the equilibrium constant at two different temperatures. You can use it like any equation and solve for any value within it.

The Van't Hoff equations is used to find different K values at multiple temperatures if one K value is known. It relates all the thermodynamic properties to the equilibrium constant.

Re: Van't Hoff Equation Uses
We use the Van't Hoff Equation when we're either looking for a second equilibrium constant at a second temperature or a second temperature to go with a second equilibrium constant. It can also be used to find the enthalpy change given the two K's and T's.

Re: Van't Hoff Equation Uses
The Van't Hoff Equation is used to find the equilibrium constant at a different temperature. So, if you are given the equilibrium constant at one temperature and asked for it at another, you would use this equation.
