Re: Fuel cells
If Delta G is negative the fuel cell would be feasible and thus, the cell potential would have to be positive. Since the products would have a lower energy than the reactants which is favorable.

Thank you for explaining it! :D

Re: Fuel cells
A fuel cell is thermodynamically feasible when ΔG is negative, which would mean it would be spontaneous.

When delta G is negative (or spontaneous), the fuel cell is thermodynamically feasible.

Re: Fuel cells
A thermodynamically feasible fuel cell is when the reaction is spontaneous, implying that it has a negative ΔG.

Re: Fuel cells
Thermodynamically feasible means that according to all that we know about energy and entropy changes in reactions it is reasonable to suppose that something can happen.

Re: Fuel cells
A negative delta G would make it a spontaneous process, as it is past the threshold for spontaneity of Gibbs Free Energy.

Re: Fuel cells
What exactly does thermodynamically feasible refer to? I understand that something is thermodynamically feasible when delta G is negative, but I'm still a little confused.
