I just want to double check my answer for #1 on the test: a) i got the oxidation state for C will be +4 and b) the reduced species is oxygen

I believe that a) 3+ and b)Fe is being oxidized

I think based off of someone else's question on their test 2 #1, I saw that C is indeed 4+ once in CO2 and the reduced species is oxygen because it goes from 0 in O2 to -2 in CO2
