Redox Rxn
Can someone list the charges of different elements that we need to know in order to solve a redox? Like the halogens, group 1, etc.

In my opinion, just know the common ones, such as group 1 metals and group 2 metals, which are +1 and +2, respectively. Also, know that oxygen is generally -2 and chlorine is generally -1. Not sure if we will need to memorize the others.

The typical ones of group one are +1 and group 2 are +2. the halogens are -1 and oxygen is -2.
Re: Redox Rxn
I think we just need to memorize the normal periodic trends that we used last quarter and then we will figure out the transition metal ones based on the rxn
