balancing redox reaction

Postby 505166714 » Mon Feb 25, 2019 9:11 pm

How can I find the skeletal reaction for the redox reaction? After finding one of the skeletal reaction, do I just take whatever is left from the overall reaction for the other skeletal reaction?

You're going to want to identify what was reduced and what was oxidized by looking at the different oxidation states. After that you want to balance the reactions and cancel!

Use the half-reaction method and add H2O and either H+/OH- to balance the reaction!
