One of the UAs told me that in order to figure out if O3 is being oxidized or reduced, you would need to know if the other element in the equation is being reduced or oxidized. For instance, if you had O3 + Br- -> O2 + BrO3-, Br- is being oxidized. Thus, if Br- is oxidized, that means O3 must be reduced.
