For 6L.7:
Write the half-reactions and devise a galvanic cell (write a cell diagram) to study each of the following reactions:

How do we determine which half-reaction is oxidation and which is reduction? Why is Br- at the anode?

The half reaction with the higher reduction potential would be the cathode. The other half reaction is the anode.
