Polyatomic Ions

Postby VLi_2B » Sun Feb 23, 2020 8:30 pm

Are there any polyatomic ions that we should memorize or will we be provided with the charges of the ions?

In the past Lavelle has usually given the charges of the ions, but I think it's helpful to know some of them just in case.

I think it's good practice to know a few of them, like SO42-, or CO32-... stuff like that.

I memorized all the basic ones and I find that it's really helped me in the homework. On tests, I think he usually gives you the charge but I have found that just knowing the charges and the atoms is way easier for his class.

What are some examples of polyatomic ions that would be helpful to know?
