Will Test 2 have any overlapping topics from the midterm? Or will it only cover topics from the midterm up until now?

Based on what Prof. Lavelle said it will only be from the 2nd part of Thermodynamics dealing with Gibbs and then all of the Electrochemistry (2nd page of Outline 4 and all of outline 5). Thus, Test 2 should not include kinetics.

Is the 2nd page of Outline 4 all from focus 5 in the textbook, or do we have to know about the end of focus 4 as well? Also, will we also be tested on material from the midterm? Thank you!

Test 2 will cover all material from Focus 5 (material not on the midterm) to the end of electrochemistry. It will not have any overlapping material but most likely some concepts will carry over from thermodynamics as Focus 5 is still within the thermo outline.

On the class website, it says that "Test 2 covers 2nd page of Outline 4: Thermodynamics and Outline 5: Electrochemistry and its Applications."

It should only be the end of thermodynamics and through electrochemistry. Kinetics should not be on test 2 at all.

Test 2 is a good review for Electrochem. I was pretty surprised about the last question! I didn't know that the electrode size in the anode doesn't matter!
