Do we add h20 or h+ first when balancing a half-reaction in acidic solution.

You would add H2O first in order to balance the oxygen molecules. Then, you would add H+ ions to balance out the hydrogen molecules, and then add electrons to balance charge.

Water first for the oxygens and then the H+ for the hydrogen difference.

Add H2O fist to balance the oxygen and then the H+ to balance the hydrogen.

In acidic solutions, you add H2O first to balance the O molecules and then H+ to balance the H molecules.
