Frequency vs Cycle
Are frequency and cycle the same thing? I believe professor Lavelle said that we could use the two terms interchangeably, but can someone please clarify?

Re: Frequency vs Cycle
Frequency and cycle are the same thing because 1 cycle per second is called a Hertz which is the unit used for frequency.

Re: Frequency vs Cycle
I can't remember exactly what Dr. Lavelle said in class, but one cycle per second is a 1 Hertz which equals the frequency. So if there are 2 cycles in one second then the frequency is 2 hertz.

Re: Frequency vs Cycle
Frequency is giving how many "cycles" are completed over a period of time. 1 cycle is when a wave completes a complete period and returns to its original location.

Re: Frequency vs Cycle
Frequency is like multiple cycles over a time. While a cycle is just when a wave completes a whole period
