### wave length

I'm confused on how exactly amplitude plays a role in oscillations and wavelength. can some explain this to me?

### Re: wave length

amplitude shows how tall the wave is. By doing this, it determines how intense the light is.

### Re: wave length

Amplitude is related to the intensity of the wave.

Think of the ocean wave. Tall waves (high amplitude) are more powerful then small waves (low amplitude), assuming the same wavelength.

### Re: wave length

The square of the Amplitude tells the intensity, or brightness, of the radiation.

### Re: wave length

Amplitude is also related to the electrical field. Therefore as the extent of the change in the electrical field decreases the amplitude decreases.

### Re: wave length

Frequency is how many waves pass by in a second while wavelength is the distance between two crests. Amplitude is related to how much energy a wave has. High energy waves have high amplitude and low energy waves have low amplitude.
