For this problem, if I know the frequency and the wavelength, how do I find the energy of the photon? Is there a specific formula?

I think you use E=hc/wavelength which was an equation we derived last lecture from E=hv and c=wavelength x v

In order to find the energy, use the formula E=hv, since the frequency is given.

E = hf = hc/λ. This is the equation that is needed and the constant needed is h = 6.62608 × 10^–34 J.s

If you know the frequency (v), you can find the energy using the equation E=hv where h=6.626*10^-34 J.s. If you know the wavelength (λ), you can find the energy using the equation E=hc/λ where c=2.997*10^8m.s^-1.
