In atomic absorbtion spectroscopy are all wavelengths of light absorbed?

No, not all wavelengths of light are absorbed. Only wavelengths that have a frequency that corresponds to a specific energy level. Some wavelengths have frequencies that land between two energy levels and that means the light will pass right through, I believe, and not be absorbed.
