Visible Light

Postby Lily Benitez 2G » Sat Oct 20, 2018 11:41 pm

What is the wavelength range of visible light? I've seen many ranges but I don't know which one is correct.

In the book and the lecture I think he mentioned that it is from 420-700 nm.

My TA mentioned that it's safe to assume visibe light is between 400-700nm.

Between 400-700 nm. For the record, the textbook has a really nice diagram (In the 7th Ed., page 6, figure 1A.9) that shows the ranges for all the different types of radiation, including visible light.

It's between 400 and 700 nm. Also, I attached an image that shows the ranges for the radiations.
