Frequency and Hertz

So I know that Hertz is the number of oscillations per second, but is there a unit for oscillation? In other words, if we were to break down the unit Hz, it would be *blank*/s. What's the blank?

I don't believe there is a unit specifically for oscillations, so Hertz are measured in just oscillations/second.

The units in Hertz is cycles/second, so the Hertz is just how many times the wave oscillates in one second.

Oscillation by itself is a unit, hence it is oscillation/s = hertz

The unit is simply second^-1 or 1/s.

I believe for the sake of this class, there's no need to break down the unit for hertz. It's simply s^-1 and that works perfectly in equations such as E=hv because it cancels out with Planck's constant to get the final answer in Joules.
