### Question 1A.3

(Question Pasted Below)

For my answer I got C. Im not sure whether or not my explanation for the answer is adequate or not. I said that since there is a decrease in the frequency the waves become longer and that causes the amplitude of the wave to decrease. Since the amplitude decreases it lowers the extent of the change in the electrical field since it does not reach as far.

Which of the following happens when the frequency of elec- tromagnetic radiation decreases? Explain your reasoning.
(a) The speed of the radiation decreases.
(b) The wavelength of the radiation decreases.
(c) The extent of the change in the electrical field at a given point decreases.
(d) The energy of the radiation increases

### Re: Question 1A.3

I'm not sure if I misinterpreted your post but for your explanation it would be that as frequency decreases then the waves broaden and the extent of the change decreases. This is because electric field corresponds to the amplitude
