What does it mean when it says report the difference as a percentage of the wavelength of the neutron?
Protons and neutrons have nearly the same mass. How different are their wavelengths? Calculate the wavelength of each particle when traveling at 2.75 * 10^5 m*s^-1 in a particle accelerator and report the difference as a percentage of the wavelength of the neutron.

From what I understand from the back of the book's answer, the wavelength of both particles will be about the same (1.44 pm), so there is no real difference in percent. Therefore, due to their nearly identical weights, you have 0% difference since there's only 3 sig figs. (The answers don't even have a percentage listed so I'm assuming the explanation of the wavelengths being basically equal is good enough. Hope that helps!

By that it means the proportion of the proton's wavelength to the neutron's. As in divide the proton's by the neutrons
