1A.3

Postby Jessica Chen 2C » Sun Oct 13, 2019 10:09 pm

The question is "which of the following happens when the frequency of electromagnetic radiation decreases?"
And I picked (c) "The extent of the change in the electrical field at a given point decreases" by process of elimination, because I knew the other answers weren't correct. But it also asks that you explain your reasoning, so why is (c) the correct answer?

C is correct because the electrical field corresponds to the amplitude; and so as the frequency decreases the waves broaden and the extent of the change decreases.
