Variables and Constants for this Unit

Postby MKearney_4G » Mon Oct 14, 2019 5:56 pm

Variables:
E - Energy (J)
λ - wavelength (m)
v - frequency (Hertz, Hz, 1/s or s^-1)
n - electron shell (whole numbers w/out units)
----------------------------------
Constants:
R - Rydberg's Constant (1.09678*10^7 m^-1)
c = Speed of Light in vacuum (3*10^8 m/s)
h - Planck's Constant (6.626176 x 10-34 J*s or N*m*s or kg*m^2 *s)

If there are any important ones I missed, feel free to add them :)

= wave function where:
represents the height of a wave at position (x, y, z) and
represents the probablity of finding an electron

Just as a reminder, v can also represent velocity so one should be careful while using the variable in an equation.
