### 1A9 Table

In 1A9 how do I figure out what type of radiation each event matches to thanks?

1A9. A college student recently had a busy day. Each of the stu- dent’s activities on that day (reading, getting a dental x-ray, mak- ing popcorn in a microwave oven, and acquiring a suntan) involved radiation from a different part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Complete the following table and match each type of radiation to the appropriate event:

Getting a dental x-ray involves x-rays.
Using a microwave results in microwave radiation.
Tanning involves UV rays.

You should be able to look at the different wavelengths or frequencies in comparison to each other to find out which event goes with which radiation from knowing a little bit about each radiation. e.g. Visible light has to pair with reading because you need to see the words and we can only see visible light and you know that visible light is most definitely not one of the higher frequencies but it has to be higher than microwaves.
